The Fairest of the Fair is the official ambassador of the Richland County Fair. In addition to serving as the official hostess of the Richland County Fair, the Fairest of the Fair represents and promotes the Richland County Fair at events throughout Richland County and beyond, including area parades, festivals, community events and the Wisconsin State Fair.

2014 Fairest of the Fair – Molly Jump
Hi! My name is Molly Jump and I am your 2014 Richland County Fairest of the fair. I am from Richland Center. My Parents are Jeff and Connie Jump. I am currently a senior at Ithaca high school. I participate in basketball, track, equestrian club, national honors society, and choir.
Being your fairest of the fair has always been something I have wanted to do since I was little and watched the other fairest of the fairs in parades. I always thought they were such beautiful princesses and wanted to be just like them. As I grew older, I found out what the purpose of being fairest of the fair was, and that it was to represent Richland County, along with our fair. Knowing how involved I had been with our community and 4-H I realized that being fairest of the fair was something I could succeed at!
I have been a 4-H member since I could join in 3rd grade. I have taken on many projects such as sewing, photography, dairy, rabbits, and horses. For the past three years my main focus has been showing my horse “Chief.” We have grown together over the years and have fought many battles against each other. At times I questioned if showing horses was something I wanted to devote my time to. It has taught me perseverance and patience, two very important virtues in my eyes.
After High school I plan on attending one of our State Universities. Although I am undecided as to which campus, I believe I will pursue a degree in business.
Our Richland County Fair is September 3-7th. We have many great activities going on throughout the week and you don’t want to miss it!
2014 Junior Fairest of the Fair – Kayla Wanless
Hi my name is Kayla Wanless. I am this year’s Junior Fairest of the Fair. I am twelve years old and currently in seventh grade at St. Mary’s School. I am also part of the Brush Creek Knowledge seekers 4-H Club and have been for four years. Along with participating in 4-H I also show pigs at the fair. In my free time I enjoy playing volleyball, walking my pigs, jumping on my trampoline, reading, and drawing.
2014 Junior Attendant – McKenna Muckler
Hi, my name is McKenna Mucker. I am the Richland County Junior Attendant. I am the daughter of Jason and Heather Muckler. I also have a five year old sister named Callie. I am the granddaughter of Richard and Linda Muckler and Robin and Kelly Wagoner. I have one dog name Zoey. I live in Gotham, WI. I will be attending 7th grade at the Richland Middle School this year. Some activities that I am in are 4-H, basketball and dance. Some projects that I take to the fair are sheep, cake decorating, photography, scrap booking, and the dog project. One of my most favorite things to do at the fair is showing my sheep! Other hobbies I like to do are working with sheep, swimming, basketball, dance and riding four-wheelers.
